Dear Friends,

Welcome to First Presbyterian Church! It is my prayer that God will use us to encourage and nurture you spiritually.  First Presbyterian has been a part of the Augusta community for over two hundred years. Ours is a long tradition of enabling people to deal with every area of life by equipping them with the reliable truths of the Bible and providing a place of warm friendship.  We are also looking to the future. We believe that God has called us to proclaim to all the message of God’s grace, to touch individuals with Christ’s grace, and to equip Christians to live by the Spirit’s grace.  There are many opportunities for service, growth and fellowship at First Presbyterian.  In fact, that is the motivating theme for our church. We want to be “Not for ourselves, but for Christ” (Romans 15:1-3). Further, our desire is to carry out that motto in practical ways by being not for ourselves, but for Christ by serving each other, the local community, the nation, and the world.   Know that you are welcome, and if I or any of the pastoral staff can be of any service to you, please
