Nursery Ministry

“Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.” Proverbs 22:6

Our mission in the nursery at First Presbyterian Church is to provide a safe and loving environment where the children will love to come to church, begin to learn Bible truths, and experience the love of Jesus!

Nurseries are provided for our infants and toddlers ages one to three in the rooms nearest the sanctuary during the worship services and Sunday school. A Mother-Infant Room equipped with audio is located beside Nursery 1. The Infant Room is also designed for infants needing to be rocked or needing to sleep (beds provided).

 To provide a safe nursery…

You will receive a three part name tag to fill out for your child. The first part is placed on your child’s back with your name and any special instructions you wish to write. The second part is placed on your child’s diaper bag for identification. The third part is for you to keep and return when you come to pick up your child.

We have silent pagers available in Nursery 1 and Nursery 2A for parents of our younger nursery age children. You will be issued a pager with a number when you sign your child in his/her classroom.

To provide a loving environment…

We have many nursery teachers who care for and spend time with the children. Bible lessons are taught to children in every nursery since children begin to learn from the moment they are born.
