Augusta Conference

The Augusta Conference will not continue in the format it has for the last two years.  Recognizing that many network conferences have emerged since the first Presbyterian Pastoral Leadership Network conference in 2001, the Augusta Conference leadership feel called to connect with as many leaders of these many networks as possible rather than continue with a separate conference ministry.  In addition to fine conferences like Embers to Flame, Ligonier, PCRT, and Reformation and Revival existing before 2001, other strong network conferences have arisen since then like Baltimore, Connecting, Gospel Coalition, Gospel Man’s, Together for the Gospel, and Twin Lakes.   These gatherings are strategically important in building up the heart as well as the mind for “contending for the faith once for all delivered to the saints.”  Another conference in Augusta may arise in the future when First Presbyterian Church builds its lodge on Clarks Hill Lake, but until then smaller and more focused meetings will continue with a view toward sharpening the Reformed pastoral, grace-oriented and evangelistic ministry of the Presbyterian Church in America.
